Four places where a training platform loses participants

A training company sells through its website and serves participants in several tools at once. Participants drop out in four places.

  • 01

    Offer and dates

A participant is looking for a specific course, date and price. A catalogue with filters and up-to-date dates shortens the way from search engine to enrolment.

  • 02

    Enrolment and payment

The enrolment form, a company invoice and online payment in one process. Every additional field costs some sign-ups.

  • 03

    Online and in-person learning

Remote, in-person and blended courses in a single participant account, with materials available on a phone.

  • 04

    Organiser dashboard

The training team adds courses, dates and trainers themselves and sees enrolments, without a developer.

Websites, platforms and apps for training companies

For training companies we design and build websites and web apps as well as mobile apps.

Services

A mobile app for learning outside the classroom

We design apps for students and teachers: materials available on a phone, interactive exercises and gamification elements, that is, points and levels that sustain regular learning. We adapt the interface to the age and learning habits of the users.

Mobile apps

Course platform and enrolment system

We design educational platforms for remote and blended teaching: a course catalogue, enrolment, virtual classrooms and assessment tools. We set the scope with the team that will run the platform day to day.

Let's talk about your training platform

A short description of your training offer and how enrolment works today is enough. In the first conversation we agree the scope and the order of work.

„We wholeheartedly recommend Squares. We have worked together for years and they are one of those partners you can rely on 100%. Among many different projects, they built our company website with an advanced integration with an external database. They do not stop at the code.”

    Questions

    Frequently asked questions

What is a training platform and what should it include?

A training platform is a site where a company presents its course offer, takes enrolments and payments, and gives participants access to materials. The basics are a catalogue of courses with dates, an enrolment form, online payment and a participant account. Anything beyond that we determine from how the company runs its training: remotely, in person or both.

How much does an online course platform or education app cost?

How long does it take to build a training platform?

Building a training platform takes a few months, and a prototype a few weeks. The project starts with a product workshop, which takes one or two weeks and sets the scope of the first version. The timeline depends on the number of integrations, for example with payment and invoicing systems, and on whether a mobile app is also being built.

What is the result of an educational platform project?

The result is a working platform that the training team runs independently: it adds courses, dates and materials without a developer. Squares case studies include a course sales platform on WordPress, a mobile app for school leavers and a course booking system. After launch we develop the product based on data about enrolments and participant activity.

Does an educational platform have to be accessible under WCAG?

Yes, accessibility in education decides whether some participants can use the course at all. The WCAG standard covers captions for recordings, legible contrast, and keyboard and screen reader operation. The European Accessibility Act has been enforced since June 2025. We take accessibility into account at the design stage, because fixing it after launch costs more.

When does a training company need a mobile app?

A mobile app makes sense when participants learn regularly and in short sessions, for example revising material or solving tasks. For one-off courses, a well-working site with enrolment is enough. We build apps in Flutter, for iOS and Android at the same time, and connect them to the participant's account on the platform.

How does cooperation on an education project begin?

Cooperation begins with a conversation about the training offer, the participants and the current way of enrolling. We audit a working platform first, and a new product starts with a product workshop. After that stage the scope, priorities and cost are known. We work in two-week sprints, and the training team sees progress on an ongoing basis.
