Case study
A PrestaShop online shop for the sports sector
PrestaShop runs the sales, content is easier to create in WordPress, and 90% of the shop's users are on a phone. We designed and built a PrestaShop online shop integrated with WordPress: from a UX audit and workshops, through prototypes and a design system, to delivery and payment integrations.

We designed and launched a sports store on PrestaShop, with content and SEO handled in WordPress. Products, promotions and categories from the shop appear directly in landing pages and articles, and the whole project was built with phones in mind.

Process

What we delivered
A store with its own visual language and a content layer that sells alongside it.
- UX and technical audit - a list of good and bad practices, plus findings from performance and database analysis.
- Hi-fi prototypes - an interactive version of the store where we checked navigation and features before launch.
- Design system - colours, typography and graphic style prepared for growth and for work with PrestaShop and WordPress modules.
- Product page - interactive photo galleries, animated buttons, plus recommendations and product suggestions.
- Order form - refined for phones, with delivery via Paczkomaty, DPD, DHL and Orlen Paczka, and payments via BLIK and PayU.
- PrestaShop and WordPress integration - product listings, promotions and categories embedded in landing pages and articles via API and shortcodes.
- Icons and illustrations - a dedicated set consistent with the store design and readable on small screens.
Challenge: shop and content in two systems
The store had to combine shopping convenience with a design that stood out in sports retail.
Content management and SEO also mattered. PrestaShop handles sales, but marketing content is easier to produce in WordPress. We needed to connect both systems so the catalogue showed up in the content, and the whole thing looked like one site.
90% of store users browse on mobile devices, so the phone set the project priorities.

Solution: PrestaShop connected to WordPress
We started with an audit and workshops, and checked design decisions on wireframes and hi-fi prototypes before any code was written.
The design system describes colours, typography and graphic style in one place. The store can grow and use more PrestaShop and WordPress modules while the look stays consistent. The product page has an interactive gallery and recommendations, and the order form supports delivery and payment methods popular in Poland.
The store inside marketing content
Through an API and WordPress shortcodes, product listings, promotions and categories from PrestaShop land directly in landing pages and blog articles. Content and catalogue sit in the same place.
Mobile First
Navigation, product presentation, menus, buttons and forms were designed for touchscreens. Content and images scale to the display size.

Results: shop and content work as one site
The client received a store and a content layer that work as one site.
The design system and WordPress integration make it possible to add new content and promotions without rebuilding the store. Dedicated icons and illustrations are part of the visual identity and help convey information quickly on a phone.
