Case study
Tropokolagen: a mobile app for doctors with a therapy atlas
Doctors of different specialities who use collagen therapies needed knowledge and instructions in one place, open only to certified specialists. We designed a mobile app for doctors with a therapy atlas, scientific publications and injection instructions.

For Tropokolagen we ran the design process: from workshops with doctors, through a moodboard and wireframes, to product design. The app also includes an AI assistant based on Prose Captain. The app gathers the knowledge needed for collagen therapies in one place and organises it by medical specialty, body part and condition.

Provide instructions for applying collagen products, so doctors use them optimally and safely.
03

Process
What we delivered
A mobile app that brings knowledge about collagen therapies together in one place.
- Dashboard - search and categories: pain medicine, wounds and scars, aesthetic medicine, dentistry, gynaecology.
- Therapeutic atlas - an interactive breakdown by body part and condition, with procedures for each area.
- Scientific publications - a database of research on specific conditions and collagen products.
- Products and instructions - a list of collagen products with injection instructions.
- Secure access - the app is available exclusively to certified medical specialists.
Challenge: specialist knowledge for doctors only
Collagen therapies, including injections of products into joints, are used by doctors across many specialties. The app had to give them specialist knowledge and tools in one place.
The content is intended for doctors only, so the app had to be secure and available exclusively to certified specialists. At the same time, a doctor working in pain medicine, dentistry or gynaecology needed to find what applies to their work quickly.
The tool had to combine professionalism with functionality: intuitive, secure and pleasant to use.

Solution: a dashboard, a therapy atlas and publications
A dashboard with search and categories is the starting point, and the therapeutic atlas leads from an area of the body to a procedure.
Categories split the content by specialty: pain medicine, wounds and scars, aesthetic medicine, dentistry, gynaecology. The atlas has two entry points: body parts, such as the upper limb, lower limb, spine or nerves, and conditions, such as tennis elbow or cubital tunnel syndrome.
Publications and products
The scientific publications database collects research on specific conditions and collagen products. The product list includes injection instructions, so doctors can check how to apply a product optimally and safely.

Results: atlas, publications and instructions on the doctor's phone
Doctors have the atlas, publications and instructions for collagen therapies on their phones, in an app available only to specialists.
The split by specialty and the two ways into the atlas shorten the path to the right procedure. The publications database helps doctors build their expertise and keep up with new research in their field.
