Services

From a product decision to a working product

First the decision about what is worth building, then design, delivery and maintenance. Squares runs the whole process or strengthens the client team at a single stage.

01

Advisory & strategy

A diagnosis of the product and the decisions that are made before the budget goes into delivery.

02

Design

We design products that solve the right problem and test them before they are built.

03

Delivery & team

We take the design to a working product and strengthen the client's team.

04

Maintenance & optimisation

Ongoing care for the product after launch: data, stability and quality over time.

Why Squares

What sets this way of working apart

  • One team from diagnosis to delivery

One team leads the diagnosis, the design and the delivery. Product knowledge is not lost in handovers between contractors.

  • Prices known before the decision

The audit comes in three fixed packages from PLN 4,500. The other services have a stated price range or a described billing model.

  • A decision after every stage

Every stage has its own scope, deadline and result. After each one the client team decides whether and how to continue.

  • Confidentiality and regulated sectors

Part of our work is done under NDA, for international organisations and in the medical sector. We sign a non-disclosure agreement before the first conversation about product details.

  • Clients in Poland and abroad

We run projects remotely for companies in Europe and the USA, with a steady rhythm of meetings and decisions recorded in the documentation.

How we work

From diagnosis to optimisation

Twice wide, then narrow: first we understand the problem and choose a direction, then we build and narrow down to the version that works best.

Diagnosis Design Development Optimisation

01

Diagnosis

We talk to the team and to users and look at the data. Outcome: a list of problems ranked by impact on users and the business.

02

Design

We choose one direction and design it to prototype level. Outcome: a design that can be tested with users before it is built.

03

Development

We build what we designed, in short cycles with a weekly review. Outcome: a working product.

04

Optimisation

We measure how people use the product and improve it after launch. Outcome: the next version, based on data from the previous one.

Next iteration

After launch we go back to research, so each new version starts from what the previous one taught us.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How much does a UX/UI project or an audit cost?

The UX/UI audit comes in three fixed packages from PLN 4,500. Work billed by the hour costs PLN 250 net per hour. Larger projects, meaning design and delivery, are priced after a short conversation about scope and split into stages. The price of each stage is known before the decision to start it.

What does Squares do?

Squares is a design and delivery company: it designs and builds digital products for B2B and SaaS companies. The offer has four groups: advisory and strategy, design, delivery and team, and maintenance and optimisation. The work starts with a diagnosis, meaning an audit or a workshop, and ends with a working product and ongoing care for it.

What does the first stage look like and how long does it take?

The first stage is a UX/UI audit or a product workshop. It starts with a conversation about the goal and access to the product, then we analyse screens, data and user journeys. It ends with a prioritised recommendation: what to fix first, what to postpone and what the next step is.

The company has its own product team. What does Squares add?

Squares does not replace the client team, it complements it. It brings an independent outside assessment, which a team lacks when judging its own work, or extra design capacity when there are more priorities than time. Our designers work in the rhythm of the team, and product decisions stay with the client.

Do you sign an NDA and a framework agreement?

Yes. We sign an NDA, a non-disclosure agreement, before the first conversation about product details. A framework agreement sets the standing terms of cooperation, and further work is ordered as separate assignments without renegotiating everything from scratch. This is how we run some of our projects for international organisations and the medical sector.

Do you work remotely and with clients outside Poland?

Yes. We run projects remotely for clients in Poland, Europe and the USA, in Polish or in English. The work has a steady rhythm of meetings, and decisions are recorded in the project documentation. We also run workshops and research on site, at the client’s premises or in our Wrocław office, by prior appointment.

What technologies do you build products with?

80% of our work is product strategy, research and product design, and development is the smaller part. We do have hands-on experience in it: we build apps in React and Flutter, content is managed in a headless CMS, a system that separates the editorial panel from the layer users see, and infrastructure runs on AWS or Google Cloud. We design in Figma, and for research and behaviour analysis we use Hotjar, Google Analytics and Miro.

What happens after delivery?

After delivery the product moves into ongoing care or returns to the client team together with its documentation. Care and SLA covers monitoring, backups, fixes and a guaranteed response time. Analytics and performance shows where the product loses users and what to fix first. Each of these services is ordered separately.
